Gautham Pasupuleti is the CEO, Managing Director & Chairman of Biodesign Innovation Labs. Biodesign Innovation Labs is a medical device and healthcare company based in Bangalore. A student of the Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, he has led highly technical team of Engineers, Researchers, Doctors, Designers, Domain experts and public health professionals as part of development of innovative and affordable intensive care/critical care medical devices that save lives for patients with respiratory illnesses. He has also led research at MIT Media Lab Initiatives in developing Ophthalmology devices in collaboration with LVPEI Eye hospital and publishing their work in AI based technologies for better eye care and early cancer detection. He also founded a startup called CornealX, an AI based eye care startup which is now part of Biodesign Innovation Labs for developing AI based tech for healthcare applications.He was awarded by Forbes India “Ultimate Pioneers of Change” in 2020 for his role in Innovation, leadership and impact in healthcare.

Isidre March Chordà

Isidre March Chordà, holds a PhD in business and economics, and is the Professor at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Universitat de València, as well as a visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley, USA. He has been the Director in multiple roles, inclusive of: The research line in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Master´s degree in Creation and Management of Innovative firms as well as research projects in innovative performance and technology-based companies management. Joseph Machnaim, an Engineer, Co-founder and Chief Information Officer at Triquetra Healthcare and Technology Private Limited, in Bengaluru, India. With 22 years of experience and professional accomplishments in Technology & Leadership roles at GE Aviation & GE Global Research, Joseph has 5 patents in Aircraft engine design and Artificial Intelligence (AI). He has also led teams in AI hybridization through incubation and AI application in GE across industries such as Aviation, Power and Global Research. He is an active tutor and an insightful mentor to young engineers. He founded and led the ASME Gas Turbine Group in 2011, and has been an active member of ASME India, serving many crucial roles during his tenure. Dr. Joel Reich is a health tech advisor & consultant and has taught graduate level Population Health, Healthcare Economics and Health Care Leadership at the Jefferson College of Population Health, University of New Haven and Frank H. Netter School of Medicine. He has had several important roles throughout his career such as Chair of Emergency Medicine, Medical Director of EMS, and Chief Medical Officer of Eastern Connecticut Health Network, a community health care system, and interim Chief Medical Officer of Commonwealth Care Alliance for Medicare-Medicaid “Social ACO” organization. With his master’s degrees in Medical Management, Health & Medical Informatics and Technology & Human Affairs, he’s been passionate about population health, innovative care and payment models, healthcare system transformation, care management, and health technology application for as long as he can remember. He has also presented at national seminars on several topics including Health IT/telehealth, quality improvement and accountable care.

Florence Hudson

As software solution architect he led Briteyellow’s InnovateUK ‘3DCloud’ collaborative R&D project, BriteLocate3D, a patent pending interactive 3D indoor positioning and navigation application. Prior to Briteyellow, he headed European Business Development for US software companies including Critical Path Inc, United Messaging and Vertel Corp. Malgortza Kujawska

Małgorzata Kujawska, Ph.D., D.Sc., Associate Professor at Poznan University of Medical Sciences.

Malgorzata Kujawaska is an experienced Principal Investigator of projects implemented within international cooperation. Her current research project is “New graphene-based approach targeting the prion-like propagation of α-synuclein in Parkinson’s disease.” She has also won The Polish Intelligent Development Award 2020 in the category of Scientist of The Future, and also the recipient of of the 2020 Matsumae International Foundation Research Fellowship Program. She has completed workshops on entrepreneurship and design thinking at Stanford University within the prestigious government program “Top 500 Innovators” and International Summer School on Technology Transfer in Life Sciences (Technische Universität Dresden). An author of several scientific journals, Dr. Kujawska is in the Top 1% of reviewers for pharmacology & toxicology and cross-field, according to Publons (Web of Science). She is also involved in promoting health innovations within Pirx Club.

Kuo Chia-Hua

Professor, Institute of Sports Sciences, University of Taipei, Taipei, Taiwan

With numerous publications to his name, Kuo Chia-Hua is a World Class Professor (recognised in 2021) by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Indonesia. Excelling in Exercise Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Kuo has always had a keen interest in Human Performance, Sports Nutrition, Human Metabolism and Aging. He is currently working as a Scientific Reviewer/Advisor for the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd research grant (LDI), International Academy of Sport Science & Technology (AISTS), Lausanne, Switzerland. With a wealth of academic experience, he has also held important roles such as being the Dean of Research and Development for the University of Taipei, Chair for the Institute of Sports Sciences, Director for Research Institute for Sports Science, and Director of Computation Center. Professor Chia-Hua has conducted various international lectures and has an extensive list of published books and journals.

Kalyana C. Veluvolu

Dr. Kalyana C. Veluvolu, is currently the Professor at the College of IT Engineering, Kyungpook National University, South Korea. His primary focus is on smart medical robots and EEG based human/bran computer interface applications. Dr Veluvolu is also the Head of the Intelligent Systems and Control Division of School of Electronics Engineering and the director of the research lab leading interdisciplinary research groups in intelligence, robotics, sensing systems and health-care. He is currently the Associate Editor for Journal of The Franklin Institute, Systems Science and Control Engineering Journals.   He has been on technical/program committees of several international conferences. Dr. Veluvolu is also a senior member of IEEE. He has earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has also authored or co-authored more than 120 journal articles and conference proceedings. He was awarded the 2020 KNU Academic (Life time) Award for research excellence and the 2017 Excellent Research Award awarded by Ministry of Education.

Alain Bretto

Professor, Computational and Mathematical Department, Universit´e de Caen, France.

Professor Alain Bretto, a Ph.D. in Mathematics, has an accomplished career with various roles such as Head of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department, Universit´e de Caen, Visiting Professor, Northern Kentucky University and Visiting Professor, University of California Irvine (UCI). Professor Bretto has also served as the Scientific Advisor to Saint-Etienne metropole, Expert to the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Expert to the National Science Foundation, USA and also Member of the Academie Des Sciences Et Belles Lettres De Caen. He has a special interest in Graphs and Hypergraphs Theory, Geometrical Aspect of hypergraph Theory, Applications to Computer Vision and Image Processing. He was elected as a member by the Académie des Sciences, Arts et Belles-Lettres de Caen. Professor Bretto has supervised and was part of the jury for various theses, where he defended 10 theses and 2 are in progress. He has published over 80 high-quality articles and 5 books of international standards.

Shahla Jamili

Associate Professor of Marine Biology (Aquatic Ecophysiology), Retired of Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute

Professor Shahla Jamili earned her Ph.D in Marine Biology (Ecophysiology), Faculty of Science, Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University, Iran in the year 1997. She has held the key position as Director of Scientific Information and Communication for 15 years. Her vision is to support excellence in research with appropriate sources and facilitate effective stewardship and curation of information and data generated by the research community at the Iranian Fisheries Science Institute. With the responsibility of the overall management of IFSRI library, she oversees the purchase of books, journals and electronic resources in marine sciences. Professor Jamili has led various international projects such as Digitization and indexing from Aquatic Sciences Reports of Iranian Projects in ASFA, in 2018 and Digitization and indexing in ASFA of Iranian PhD Theses (Aquatic Sciences), in 2015. She has also won various awards for her contributions in the field including the Best Researcher from Basij Asatid, in 2014.

Durga Rathinasamy

Adjunct Professor and Research Scholar, Swiss School of Business

Ms. Durga Rathinasamy is a research scholar and Adjunct Professor at the Swiss School of Business Management. She attained her Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Madras University and later on completed the Senior Management Program with IIM Ahmedabad. A veteran of the FinTech space, she has developed her expertise in the BFSI and the FinTech industry with over 18 plus years of experience in the sector. She has also had experience in leadership roles at major retail and investment banks of the US & Europe managing key applications. Ms. Rathinasamy has led diverse FinTech portfolios, worked on complex projects and programs focusing on cloud, big data, data warehousing, data analytics aligned with the goals of the business. As a successful woman in a leadership role, Ms. Rathinasamy is passionate about nurturing younger women and students as well as develop the soft skills and leadership skills required to have a successful professional career.

Zahid Akhtar

Dr. Zahid Akhtar is currently working as the Assistant Professor in the Department of Network and Computer Security at the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute, USA. Dr Akthar received his Ph.D. Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy. He has held various key positions in top universities from around the world like University of Memphis, USA, and worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at INRS-EMT – University of Quebec, Canada (2016-2018), University of Udine, Italy (2013-2016), Bahcesehir University, Turkey (2013), and University of Cagliari, Italy (2012-2013), respectively. Dr. Jemal Abawajy is a full professor at Deakin University, Australia. He was ranked in the top 2% of most influential scientists by Career Impact (1960-2021) in Stanford University List, acknowledging his exemplary career performance. He has held key roles like visiting Professorship, Member of Academic Advisory Committee, and Academic Advisor in many universities. Prof. Badar earned a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering (IE) from U of Oklahoma (USA) in 2002, MS in Mechanical Engineering (ME) from King Fahd U of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM, Saudi Arabia) in 1993, and MSc in IE in 1990 and BSc (Hons) in ME in 1988 from Aligarh Muslim U (India). Prof. Badar has published one edited book, two book chapters and over 80 articles in refereed journals and proceedings in the areas of lean manufacturing, design, reliability, quality, engineering economy, healthcare, and supply chain. He was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award at the IEOM conference in 2020. He was recognized with Outstanding Service Award and Outstanding Contribution Award at the IEOM conferences in 2021 and 2020, respectively.

Mohammad Sufian Badar

Professor, Department of Bioengineering, University of California, Riverside, USA

Mohammad Sufian Badar, PhD is currently part of the Teaching Faculty in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Riverside, CA, USA. He has taken many courses in Computer Science, Engineering, and Computational Biology and developed an expertise in the subjects. Professor Badar also worked at Analytics Architect in CenturyLink for more than a year in Denver, CO, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from Louisiana Tech University Ruston, LA, USA and also holds a master’s degree in MSc in Bioinformatics from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, India. He also served as a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology in universities across India. He has authored four chapters in books in Blockchain Technology, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning and Molecular Modeling Professor Badar is currently working on an algorithm for Face Detection, Recognition, and Emotion Recognition, including a device that, can correlate the physiology of the human body with the emotion recognition algorithm, giving us an accurate measurement of skin conductivity, temperature, heart rate, oxygen concentration in the blood, and the amount of stress hormones in the body, by using a Biosensor.

Albert Schram

Professor Albert Schram works at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Adelphi, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in History and Civilization, Economic and Business History in 1994. From the outset, his ongoing research interest has been the role of business and universities in society, in particular the role of multi-national companies and large technological systems in national development. Lately, Professor Schram has been researching and writing about leadership in higher education and the role of universities in promoting innovation. The social and environmental impact it has on the students. He refers to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in management sciences, but also has expertise in health and environmental economics literature. He has published various articles and conducted lectures on environmental management and policy, cost-benefit analysis, behavioural economics, climate change and strategic management in higher education.
