  1. B.E./B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of any recognized university/Institution or AMIE or any other equivalent qualification.

Each 15-week module is worth 4 credits, as per NHEQF requirements; the Business Projects module carries 10 credits, while professional development will carry 2 credits as it is delivered.

The students will spend one semester as interns at AADYAH Aerospace. A focused programme will be put in place, with AADYAH leading the initiative. AADYAH Aerospace will be training our students in these key areas of space technology.

About our M.Tech in Space Technology

The course will consist of both theoretical and practical elements (these are defined as knowledge application which could be either through physical tests or computer simulations) which would be delivered in a blended learning approach – this is a combination of on-site, online and pre-recorded lecture material, supported by a combination of self-learning, tutorials and workshop/seminar sessions. For practical sessions these would consist of on-site activities – mainly tutorial sessions for the students to practice the application of technical software.

With real-world experience through industry-standard software and projects, students will gain the confidence to tackle technical and design challenges in spacecraft and launch vehicle design, and mission planning.

The program is curated and will be executed by experienced space professionals, providing students with the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry. Program Leader

Meet Dr. Singh, a seasoned academic with over 27 years of teaching experience in the field of Physics. With a diverse background in academia, Dr. Singh has served in numerous committees and played an instrumental role in shaping the educational landscape at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Her passion for education is reflected in her dedication to introduce new courses and launch cutting-edge programs, such as the "Introduction to Astronomy" course and the Master of Science degree with a specialization in Astrophysics.

In addition to her impressive career at St. Xavier's College, Dr. Singh has a rich background in research, having worked at Trieste University, the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA's GSFC. With a PhD from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Mumbai, Dr. Singh brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the University.

Program Advisor

Dr. Malcolm Claus joined Kingston as a Senior Lecturer for Astronautics and SpaceTech, where he simultaneously handled research and teaching responsibilities. He became the course director and module leader of both space modules (Space Vehicle Design 2018–19 and Space Mission Analysis and Design—current). With a great passion for SpaceTech and the great beyond, Dr. Claus has been promoting and developing the Astronautics and SpaceTech course, with the focus being on problem- and project-based learning through research and outcomes. Dr. Claus has had years of experience handling projects for the School of Engineering (Aero, Mechanics, Astro, Auto, and Renewable Energy). He is committed to helping the new propulsion test facility move forward, which will help teach and train future propulsion engineers and space engineers.

Dr. Seetha

Program Advisor

As one of the most recognised scientists in her profession, Dr. Seetha has a PhD in physics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore and an M.Sc. in physics from IIT, Madras. She's an emeritus scientist at Bangalore's Raman Research Institute. Dr. Seetha also directed ISRO's Space Science Program Office, where she managed all space science operations. She led the first space astronomy project, AstroSat. She loves astronomy, particularly the study of variable stars in x-ray and optical bands. Her contributions to space science instrumentation for Indian science payloads are extensive, earning her the C.V. Raman Young Scientist Award in Physical Science (2003), the Best Woman Scientist Award from the Astronautical Society of India (2012), and the Member of Team Excellence Award from the Indian Space Research Organization for the "AstroSat Mission."
